Woodworking

Woodworking is a fun way for kids to become inventors, think innovatively, develop math skills and understand mechanical and spatial relationships. This class is held in a woodshop where kids learn to safely use real hand tools and pine wood. Students get a chance to experiment with materials and choose a project to build.

Through the building process, they learn how to work with wood and various tools including sandpaper, crosscut saws, coping saws, files, and hammers. Safety is always a top priority and stressed with every lesson. Closed toed shoes are required.
